Kenya eye Nigeria scalp as African Volleyball Champs enters crucial stage

The Kenyan lasses headline Saturday’s prime-time fixture against West African powerhouse Nigeria from 7pm at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Algeria will take on Senegal in another Saturday’s afternoon clash at 4pm. Algeria will rely on their tactical discipline to overcome an athletic Senegalese outfit eager to cause an elimination surprise.

In-form Rwanda will serve off Sunday’s action against Burkina Faso at 10.00 am. Rwanda will be eager to transfer their flawless Pool D momentum into a convincing win against the winless Burkina Faso.

Zambia meets Ghana in a balanced mid-day battle at 1.00 pm. Both dark horses feature contrasting tactical setups as they vie for a spot in the quarter-final bracket.

2023 silver medallists Egypt lock horns with Burundi at 4pm. The dominant Pharaohs enter as heavy favourites following a ruthless group phase as they seek to turn 2023 silver medal to gold, while Burundi prepare for their toughest test yet.

The Round of 16 concludes on Sunday night as North African giants Tunisia test Mali at 7.00pm. Tunisia’s structured play will put Mali’s defensive resolve to the ultimate test for the final spot in the next vital stage.

Former champions Cameroon were given a bye for topping the group stage and will await their opponents in the quarter-finals.
