Kenya expo targets China investment, technology partnerships

The three-day event, organised by Afripeak Expo Kenya Ltd in partnership with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) and InvestKenya, will bring together manufacturers, investors, suppliers and businesses from Kenya, China and other markets.

A key highlight will be the first organised business delegation from Guangdong, one of China’s major manufacturing hubs. The participation is expected to open opportunities for Kenyan firms in machinery sourcing, technology transfer, manufacturing partnerships, distribution and investment.

KNCCI President Dr Erick Rutto said the Expo should go beyond product displays and focus on creating lasting commercial partnerships.

“The Kenya International Industrial Expo is more than a showcase of products and technology; it is a platform for business growth, innovation and industrial transformation,” Rutto said.

The Expo will showcase industrial machinery, construction materials, energy, electronics, healthcare products and laser-processing technologies, targeting sectors such as manufacturing, construction, furniture and metal fabrication.

Organisers said the event is also aimed at encouraging Chinese and other foreign companies to establish manufacturing and assembly operations in Kenya rather than using the country solely as an export market.

Afripeak Expo Kenya Managing Director Gao Wei said the exhibition had evolved into a platform for industrial cooperation, investment and technology exchange.
