Kenya Aquatics has received a clean audit opinion for the period between November 2023 and December 2024, with auditors confirming that the federation properly accounted for funds received during the period.

The audited accounts show that Kenya Aquatics received and spent KSh 47.14 million, with government-funded international trips accounting for the largest share of the income.

The federation also received funding from parents for international competitions, support from the World Aquatics Development Fund, and revenue from event entries and gate collections.

Most of the expenditure went towards international travel, accommodation, visas, competition costs, development programmes, refunds to parents and administrative expenses.

Despite the clean audit opinion, the report highlights ongoing governance and legal challenges within the federation.

According to the accounts, court cases and governance disputes continued to affect Kenya Aquatics' operations and administrative structures during the reporting period.

The report also reveals that the federation did not operate its own bank accounts, with banking and payment services being handled through the National Olympic Committee of Kenya, NOCK.

Kenya Aquatics says restoring normal governance and administrative structures remains a priority as it seeks to address the challenges facing the federation.
