Kalonzo said the arrest of the five suspects is the tip of the iceberg and the detectives should go for even the financiers and planners of the violence witnessed in Migwena Sports and Cultural center in Bondo, Siaya County.
“It was clear the place was infiltrated with bad faith, contrary to what Mama Ida and the family would have wanted to see,” Kalonzo said in a press address on Monday.
The former vice president linked the state operatives to the skirmishes, urging the Inspector General of police Douglas Kanja to move with speed and to crack the whip.
“They had brought in so many school buses … because they were all yellow. And I saw some people being herded into one of those school buses with two guys literally wielding machetes,” said Kalonzo.
The Wiper leader also weighed in on Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya's tribulations at the hands of state agencies.
He told off the state against intimidating government dissidents, insisting that the opposition will not back down from their resolve to dislodge Ruto from power in next year's polls.
Kalonzo, who was addressing the press this afternoon at the SKM, expressed optimism that if picked as the opposition's flag bearer, he will trounce President William Ruto in the Nyanza region bloc.
Kalonzo castigated the Kenya Kwanza regime for several governance missteps, describing its 'predator' administration.
