Kabras Sugar RFC celebrated their sixth consecutive Enterprise Cup victory, triumphing over the Stanbic Pirates with a score of 25-12 in the final match held on May 30th, 2026, at the RFUEA premises.

Just five minutes into the game, Kabras scored their first try, setting the tone for what would become a dominant performance. The team established control early, showcasing their prowess throughout the match.

The day was overcast, creating an ideal atmosphere for 15s rugby. The stands were filled with enthusiastic spectators, and the vibe was electric, with smiles, laughter, and cheers echoing as fans enjoyed high-level rugby.

Kabras dictated the pace of play and maintained possession, skillfully winning most rucks and scrums. Their seamless distribution of the ball, particularly from fly-half to winger, kept the Pirates on their toes.

Despite their best efforts, the Pirates struggled to keep pace. They demonstrated their worthiness to be in the final by equalising shortly after Kabras' initial score in the first half. However, time and again, Kabras proved to be the superior side, reinforcing their status as undefeated in Kenya and champions of East Africa.

Both teams displayed strong, clinical tackles, resulting in momentum shifts across the field. The Pirates struggled with handling, knocking the ball on multiple occasions, which led to turnovers and ultimately hindered their chances.

Stanbic Pirates winger Baron Phillip Kasozi had a standout moment near his own try line when he caught a punt near the corner flag. Showcasing explosive speed and agility, he evaded four defenders before being tackled at the halfway line.

Kabras Sugar winger Derrick Ashiundu also made a significant impact, scoring two tries through impressive displays of strength and speed. He consistently created highlight-reel moments, proving nearly impossible for the Pirates to contain.

Kabras Sugar RFC demonstrated their dominance by scoring two tries after forming powerful mauls and winning the ensuing contests.

Some fans even remarked from the stands that Kabras had faced tougher competition from other Kenyan rugby teams than the challenge posed by the Pirates.

As the season progresses, it will be exciting to see if Kabras can maintain their reign. For the Pirates, reaching the final is an incredible achievement, but they will need further refinement to become champions of the region.
