Joseph Business School Kenya Opens Registration After Success of Breakthrough First Cohort

The school delivers a proven, faith-based entrepreneurship program that teaches founders to scale their companies God’s way, aligned with JBS’s global mission to help 100,000 entrepreneurs reach $1 million in revenue.

Kenya is seeing one of Africa's fastest surges in entrepreneurship, yet most new ventures collapse within one to two years because of limited training, a lack of structure, and minimal access to proven scaling models.

Earlier this month, JBS Kenya completed its first-ever cohort, and the results were clear: this program is becoming the answer many Kenyan entrepreneurs have been praying for.

Today, JBS Kenya announced that registration is open for its next cohort. Registration closes September 16, and classes begin September 17.

JBS Kenya is the East Africa campus of the internationally recognised Joseph Business School, founded by Dr Bill Winston and headquartered in Forest Park, Illinois.

Operating across five continents and more than 60 markets, JBS recently launched a global initiative to help 100,000 entrepreneurs of colour scale their businesses to at least $1 million in revenue.

Opened in May 2026 at Two Rivers Mall, JBS Kenya brings to Nairobi a structured, faith-based entrepreneurship curriculum blending top business principles with biblical practices — a combination not found elsewhere in the country.

The inaugural cohort included entrepreneurs in business support services, men’s fashion, Kingdom-based education, and preventive healthcare.

One graduate, Brenda Kemei, secured investor interest for her Nairobi-based venture, Brand Diet, during her final presentation.

Graduates described the program as transformational: “JBS taught me how to align my business with God’s purpose — and that changed everything.”

Another added, “I finally understand how to scale, not just survive.” A third noted, “The mentorship alone is worth the entire program.”

Administrator Betty Matharu emphasised the school’s purpose: “Kenyans are entrepreneurial by nature, but many lack the training and structure needed to scale. JBS gives them discipline, strategy, and the spiritual foundation to grow their businesses God’s way.”

Dr Deloris Thomas, President of Joseph Business School in Chicago, added: “Kenya has extraordinary talent and a highly educated population — but they need a bigger market.

Our mission is to help entrepreneurs scale beyond Nairobi, beyond Kenya, and into East Africa and the outermost parts of the world.”

JBS Kenya’s long term impact is strengthened by exceptional leadership.

The school operates under the spiritual oversight of Rev. Julian Kyula, Founder of Ruach Assemblies, whose guidance ensures a Kingdom-driven foundation.

Providing strategic and economic insight is Dr James Mworia Mwirigi, Patron of JBS Kenya and founding CEO of Kenya’s National Infrastructure Fund (NIF).
