Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has scoffed at political leaders aspiring to successfully contest against the broad-based administration in the 2027 General Election.

Speaking in Siaya during a boda boda empowerment event at Siaya KMTC grounds on Monday, Kindiki said that the President William Ruto and Raila Odinga alliance cannot be ousted from power, noting that it has effectively delivered services to Kenyans.

"We respect Raila Odinga and William Ruto, they are working together and are leading us. The future of Kenya is broad-based," Kindiki noted.

"I see new political aspirants, they are showing us theatrics on how they will defeat Ruto and Raila Odinga. Is it even possible to defeat the combination of the two?"

DP Kindiki lauded the 'broad-based' leadership duo for implementing reforms in the Lake Victoria region, stating that the blue economy has flourished and the fisherfolk have positively benefited.

He said that the State has received Ksh.3.2 billion in grants for beach management along Lake Victoria, improving fish farming and tourism in the region.

"The amount of development is Siaya has never happened since Kenya gained independence. This is the first government to invest in the blue economy to build the foundation to improve the lives of fish farmers with the support of Raila Odinga," he noted.

The DP said President Ruto’s government is focused on fulfilling its expansive development agenda across the nation, adding that fish farmers in the Lake region are set to reap bigger benefits.

He maintained that Kenya Kwanza’s development record will remain unmatched, arguing that opposition leaders cannot contest the administration.
