The event was officially closed by Sports CS Amb (Dr) Amina Mohammed who called on Kenyan shooting organizers to
run their events to international standards.
“The commitment shown by all and sundry in
making this event a success was huge. I am glad that the international body
(IPSC) has expressed interest in hosting events in Kenya. We hope that Kenya
will be hosting international events here and make this range a shooting hub in
Africa,” he said.
Amina congratulated all participants for
making the event a delight to watch “I would like to appreciate all winners and
losers in true spirits of sportsmanship,” said Amina.
Ndungu, savored an early morning run with a
cumulative total of 1270 match-points. He posted his best hit factor of 8.05
and 6.6 on Bay 1 and Bay 3 respectively.
“Today the weather is good, at least better
than yesterday. It’s a great feeling to win the Production Class. The afternoon
stages were short, and you could easily run at a risk of losing points. We
remained focused and precise through and through. I am happy for my weekend
performance.”
