Royal Media Services delivered an impressive second-half performance to defeat Kitengela-based club Feisal Academy Senior 3-2 in an entertaining football match played on Sunday in Kitengela.

The Kitengela side took control of the encounter early and displayed their attacking quality throughout the opening stages of the match. They found the back of the net once in each half, to take a commanding 2-0 lead. However, they were unable to contain the visitors' attacking firepower.

Ramogi TV's Ochieng Emmanuel reduced the deficit in the 55th minute before Radio Citizen Sport’s reporter Jack Kilonzi levelled matters for Royal Media Services.

Inooro TV's Kelvin Karanja then added winner in the final quarter of the match to put the game beyond the reach of the Kitengela side, sealing a remarkable 3-2 comeback victory for RMS.

"We are happy with the win. We conceded an early goal because they caught us before we could settle into the match. The same thing happened in the second half, but after adhering to our coach's instructions, we managed to stage a spirited comeback and turn the game around," said Ochieng Emmanuel.

"We play these kinds of matches to build friendships, and we have travelled as far as Kajiado to do exactly that. We have played teams across Nairobi, and we are glad that we have not lost a single match in 2026," added the captain.

"This was my first time playing for the RMS football team. I am delighted that I scored on my debut, and I am looking forward to many more memorable outings with the team," said Kilonzi.

According to RMS coach Newton Andika, who also featured as a player, his charges followed the instructions he gave them at halftime to turn the match around.

"In the first half, everything we tried did not click. I noted the mistakes we were making and, during the break, instructed the players on what to do in the second half. After implementing those changes, we ended up winning the match. I am pleased with today's performance, especially in the second half. We faced a good challenge, and I have confirmed that Kitengela is a very good side," noted Andika.

On his part, Feisal's coach, Benedict John, RMS gave his team a stern challenge due to their quality and fighting spirit.

"We really faced a tough challenge. This year, we have not played a match with such intensity. I can confirm that we received a serious test, and it has exposed areas we need to improve on. Our target is to perform well as a team because next season we will be playing in the County League. We are going to play more matches of this nature so that we can raise our level and be better prepared to compete in such a league," stated Coach Benedict.

The victory highlights Royal Media Services' team spirit and determination as they fought back from two goals down to secure another win.

At the final whistle, Royal Media Services emerged 3-2 winners, capping off a successful outing in Kitengela and maintaining their unbeaten run in 2026.
