The two sides face in a seismic showdown at the top of the league, with Gor nursing a three-point lead over second-placed Leopards, who target a first top flight title since 1998.
Club Patron Eliud Owalo said the promise was for the win and that even a draw will not count.
Owalo said the motivation is intended to drive the record champions to reclaim the title they last lost to Police FC last season.
“I will give Gor Mahia Ksh 1 million if they beat AFC Leopards during Sunday's Mashemeji Derby. The prize is only for a win, I don't want to encourage a draw or a loss," Owalo stated.
The Sunday fixture is not just another derby but a decisive encounter in the Kenyan Premier League title race.
Gor Mahia currently lead the standings with 58 points, while Leopards sit second on 55, setting up what is effectively a six-pointer in the race for the championship.
A win for Gor Mahia would see them open a six-point gap at the summit with only five matches remaining after the clash, significantly strengthening their grip on the title.
On the other hand, victory for AFC Leopards would level the standings at 58 points apiece, throwing the race wide open heading into the final stretch of the season.
Ingwe will be eyeing to complete a rare season double over K’Ogalo following a 1-0 win last December.
