Kenya's national men's team, Harambee Stars, on Monday wrapped up their FIFA Series campaign in Rwanda with a commanding 3-0 victory over minnows Grenada at at Amahoro national Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda to end their impressive campaign in third place.
Reeling from a disappointing 5-4 penalty loss against Estonia on Friday following a 1-1 impasse on regulation time, Stars made their intentions clear early, striking twice inside the opening 20 minutes to take firm control of the contest.
Nejmeh SC's Austin Odhiambo opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing off a swift attacking move to hand Kenya a deserved lead.
Five minutes later, Wolfsberger AC II marksman Ryan Ogam doubled the advantage in the 18th minute, capping off a lively start that left Grenada struggling to settle.
With a two goal cushion, Kenya dictated the tempo, showing composure in possession while maintaining structure across the pitch.
Grenada found it difficult to break through, with Harambee Stars remaining compact and disciplined defensively.
After the break, Kenya continued to press while managing the game efficiently. Their persistence was rewarded in the 81st minute when Zech Obiero saw his effort take a deflection before finding the back of the net as an own goal from Grenada for the Stars, effectively sealing the victory.
This clean sheet shows Kenya's defensive organization, while the early goals reflected improved sharpness in attack. It was a composed, controlled display that highlighted growing cohesion within the squad.
The result marks a strong response from Harambee Stars, who looked more assured across all departments.
By securing third place in the Kigali series, Kenya signs off the tour on a positive note, building momentum as the technical bench continues shaping the team ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) that will be co-hosted alongside Unganda and Tanzania.
