Elgeyo Marakwet: Boda boda rider killed, two passengers injured in road accident

One person lost his life and two others were injured after a road accident involving a motorcycle and a truck in the Kapcherop area, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The accident that occurred on Saturday night involved a bodaboda with three on board.
Confirming the accident, Marakwet West Assistant County Commissioner Abdulrahman Karnen said that the accident happened at around 11 pm.
The motorcycle with a rider and two pillion passengers collided head-on with the truck that was heading to Kapcherop area. The boda boda rider lost his life on the spot and the two passengers suffered serious injuries.
Karnen has called on those who use the road to be careful to avoid other such accidents.
The deceased’s body was taken to Iten County Referral Hospital mortuary.
