Eldonets head coach Moses Muge says his team endured a difficult outing on Sunday after falling narrowly to Strathmore Swords in the National Women’s Basketball Premier League clashes staged at USIU Grounds last weekend.

The Eldoret-based side suffered a 64-67 defeat to Strathmore Swords a day after registering an impressive 67-48 victory over UoN Dynamites.

Reflecting on the loss, Muge noted that his charges were forced to play catch-up after a slow start but praised his players' effort despite the setback.

"Sunday was not a good day in the office because we started late. The game didn't go as we planned because we were playing catch-up and we lost, but the girls really played well, it was a good one," said Muge.

The mixed results left Eldonets fifth on the standings with 14 points after 10 matches, having secured four wins and suffered six losses. They now have one match remaining before the end of the first leg as they seek to improve their position in the standings.
