Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has hit out at the Jubilee Government for neglecting some parts of the country on matters development.

Speaking at his homecoming rally in Bomet, Governor Ruto challenged the government to ensure fairness in the distribution of resources and desist from maligning some regions.

“This country belongs to all of us and yet we feel like Jubilee is using our numbers to tyrannise the rest of the country.

“We are all Kenyans and deserve equal consideration in the distribution of development projects like infrastructure, quality education, and access to clean water.”

The Mashinani Party leader called on the government to support devolution and ensure resources from the central government can be enjoyed even at the county level.

He further stated that people of Bomet were no longer in Jubilee, claiming they would support any candidate that would show interest in bettering the lives of people in counties.

Governor Ruto received praises from the leaders present, with one after the other acclaiming his leadership skills.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi praised Ruto for his resilience in fighting for devolution, saying with him at the helm the county is in line for better days.

Mudavadi, on his part, said that having been in school with Governor Ruto he can attest to his leadership skills and called on the people of Bomet to ensure he is reelected in the 2017 elections.

The Amani National Congress (ANC) leader further said that National Super Alliance, which would reportedly bring together several parties including CORD and ANC, is the only force that would defeat Jubilee in 2017.

The rally was held to welcome Ruto who arrived in the country on Saturday after his hospitalization in South Africa

The governor was flown to South Africa for treatment after he was allegedly attacked by police during a clash between his supporters and those of governorship aspirant Joyce Laboso in Bomet last week.
