Comedian and skit maker Crazy Kennar, born Kennedy Odhiambo, has announced his relocation to South Africa to begin film studies as he positions himself to conquer the global comedy market.

Kennar, whose recent forays in South Africa saw him meet legendary comedian Trevor Noah and become a Visit South Africa ambassador, made the announcement on his social media platforms while also appearing to remain rooted to his country of origin, Kenya.

While sharing photos of himself outside what appears to be the Atlas Studios premises in South Africa, Kennar wrote, "Blessed Man! A new level of entertainment unlocked, journey with me as I share my life with you as a Local Genius Kenyan creator studying in South Africa, living in Kenya and in South Africa while creating content across the world. The move comes just three months after Kennar hosted his premier sold-out live show dubbed Happy Country at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC).

The hugely-successful show came just four days after the comedian lost his infant son. Despite the fatal setback, the multitalented comedian went on to stage a memorable show, graced by his fellow top acts and artists too.

Kennar's comedic sojourn Down South also comes at a time when he has overhauled his entire Content Kartel comedy group and brought onboard new faces - having acrimoniously parted ways with the original members of his skit-making team.

While he did not make the revelation himself, Citizen Digital has identified that Kennar will be schooling at Johannesburg's AFDA School for the Creative Economy.

It is a private higher education institution offering courses in film, television, performance, business innovation and technology, radio and podcasting, and creative writing.
