Conjestina leads Mike Sonko's security in presidential escort style

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has made good his promise of conferring his Coastal security duties to former boxer Conjestina Achieng.

Two days ago, the former Nairobi honcho announced that, after successfully completing her rehabilitation program, Conjestina had landed a plum job as the head of security at his Salama Bling Beach resort in Kanamai.

In an update to the news, the flamboyant politician shared photos of a spruced-up Conjestina manning his facility as she held up a briefcase, immaculately-dressed in a pristine white suit.

In the series of photos and videos Sonko shared on Twitter, a beaming Conjestina is seen emerging from the backseat of his official SUV Land Cruiser and opening the door for her new boss.

While still clutching onto the briefcase, a healthy-looking Conjestina appears to effortlessly dispense her duties as her boss struts around, typically.

In the archetypal Mike Sonko fashion, Conjestina is also seen keenly following her boss from behind à la the President's aide de camp.

While speaking about her new duties, Mike Sonko revealed that, after much thought, he had changed his initial thought of hiring Conjestina as the head of security at his renowned Coastal nightclub, Club Volume.

"My initial plan for Conje after healing was to employ her as the Head of security operations at the international Club Volume but changed my mind after thinking through what she has gone through before on drug and substance abuse," he wrote.

"As Conje embarks on this new chapter of her life, she carries with her the hopes and dreams of young upcoming boxers. Her story serves as a reminder that everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves, regardless of their past or present circumstances."

In September 2022, the celebrated boxing champion was admitted to Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital in Miritini.
