Youth’s hopes of remaining at the top of the National Super League (NSL)
standings after scoring the decisive goal in a hard-fought 1-0 victory.

Digital, Mwangi expressed his delight with the win as he continued to lead
the league’s scoring chart with 21 goals to his name.
With only five matches remaining before the end of the
season, the striker vowed to approach every fixture with maximum focus as he
aims to finish the campaign as the league’s top scorer.
“I am taking each game at a time, and also utilizing the
chances to help the team in the best way possible," he said.
The second-tier league title race has continued to
intensify following Migori Youth’s defeat, which saw them slip to second place
after spending time at the summit of the table.
3K have now climbed to the top spot after securing a 2-1
victory over Kibera Black Stars, while Mombasa United sit third. All three
sides are tied on 68 points, but 3K hold the advantage on goal difference, as
Mwangi reveals the secret behind Fortune Sacco's success.
"We are keenly watching how other teams are playing
and approaching each game according to the plan of the coach," Mwangi
added.
Meanwhile, Fortune Sacco remain sixth in the standings with
57 points, leaving them 11 points behind third-placed Mombasa United as the
race for promotion continues to heat up.
