England international, Harry Kane, scored his first goal of the season for Tottenham as resilient, clinical Spurs roared back from a goal down to hammer Manchester City 4-1 in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday, September 26.

The Citizens dominated the first half, playing beautiful football consequently taking a deserved lead at White Hart Lane through new signing Kevin De Bruyne in the 25th minute.

But Eric Dier rifled in a sensational long-distance equalizer on the stroke of halftime.

Tottenham then took the lead early in the second half when Erik Lamela curled over a free kick for Toby Alderweireld to head home in the 50th.

Kane, who had yet to find the net for Tottenham after scoring 31 times last season, finally ended his drought in the 61st minute.

Lamela was rewarded for a fine performance with a goal on the break in the 79th minute.

The win has catapulted Spurs to fifth position in the EPL table with 12 points.

Following the loss, Manchester City has slipped to second place with 15 points; 1 point behind league leaders Manchester United.
