The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) Board has elected Mr. Chege Kirundi as the new National Chairman of KTDA Holdings. He succeeds Mr. Enos Njeru, who previously held the position, while Eric Chepkwony retains his role as Vice Chairman.

Mr. Kirundi, who represents Zone Three in Murang’a County, has been a key driver of tea reforms in Kenya, including his involvement in the enactment of the 2020 Tea Act.

He holds an LLB degree from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Mr. Kirundi is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a qualified Notary Public, a Certified Public Secretary (CPS), a Commissioner for Oaths, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIP). Additionally, he is a professional mediator.

His career includes serving as a State Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers. Currently, he is a private legal practitioner at Kirundi & Company Advocates. He is also a member of several esteemed institutions, including the Law Society of Kenya, and serves as Chairman of Kiru Tea Factory Company PLC.
