Following the release of a new music video, Cartoon Comedian has become the newest Kenyan musician in town.

Cartoon is best known for her hilarious social media posts, but with her song 'Kamkora,' she has now added musician to her list of skills.

Cartoon, who refers to herself as the "queen of comedy," wrote on her Instagram page on Saturday that she is "setting the pace" in the industry.

 “Queen of comedy Africa setting the pace!” wrote Cartoon comedian.

Cartoon’s song takes the Gengetone style of music, which  features a catchy beat and memorable lyrics in Sheng . 

“Mi ni mdenge nimehustle bila support. Corona day zili do ni hit jackpot. Stay true jiamini, no second thought,” read one line from ‘Kamkora’.

Diana Marua, Mammito, and Professor Hamo are among the other celebrities who have dabbled in the music industry.

Diana Marua who goes by the rap name Diana B, announced the start of her rap career with the release of ‘Hatutaachana’ sometime in November 2021.

Comedian Mammito also released a song titled ‘Ding’oing’o on September 23, 2020,  while Professor Hamo released ‘Jela’ featuring Christar Bingwa on December 14, 2021.
