The students first fell 60-79 to Nairobi City Thunder before suffering another 71-83 loss to Equity Dumas at Nyayo National Stadium Gymnasium.
Despite the setbacks, Ochieng expressed satisfaction with his team's effort and believes there are positives to build on.
"I'm very happy with the performance. The boys really gave their best and I'm pleased with the progress we are making, especially in our scoring rate.
“It was a strong back-to-back effort and overall it was a good game. I'm happy for the boys and I'm seeing a better season ahead for us this year," said Ochieng.
Strathmore are now seventh in the standings with 15 points after 10 matches, having registered five wins and five losses.
The side has one match remaining before concluding its first-round fixtures.
