Maseno South Diocese Anglican Church Bishop, Charles Ong’ijo, has torn into the executive and the legislature, accusing the two arms of government of letting down Kenyans and failing to appreciate their most important mission — the welfare of Kenyans.

Bishop Ong’ijo challenged members of Parliament to work as they are supposed to, accusing them of having become a choir. He criticised the President for failing to deliver on key pledges and called the country’s leadership to order.

He was speaking as he delivered a sermon during the burial of Eliud Nyikal, father of Seme Member of Parliament James Nyikal.

Kamau Mwangi kicks off our bulletin with excerpts from that speech.
