Sauti Sol band member Bien-Aime Baraza on Monday opened up about his marriage to dancer Chiki in an interview on Radio Citizen’s Mambo Mseto show.

Bien was responding to a question about remarks he made during a past interview that he has the freedom to do what he wants in his marriage.

The singer said people had taken the statement out of context, adding he meant he does not agree with the notion of saying a person is ‘mine’ in a marriage.

“Hii si kitu ya kureduce to sex, ndoa si about sex, ndoa ni about companionship, so sex inaenda ikishuka in its value in your life, lakini love inaenda iki-increase,” he said.

‘’Wife yangu hayuko open to me being with anybody else, lakini mi nafeel it’s a tall order kuweka mtu na kusema huyu mtu ni wangu, hiyo ndio mimi nilikuwa na-talk against.”

The musician claimed that he has all the freedom he wants in his marriage, but that he has never felt like doing anything that would jeopardize his union with Chiki.

“Wife yangu amenipatia so much freedom in my life, niko na all the chances of getting all the whatever in the world lakini sijiskii based on vile tunawork na yeye vizuri,” he stated.

“Sitadisgrace marriage yangu na agreements zangu na wife yangu.”
