Bandari booked their place in the FKF Cup semi-finals in emphatic fashion, defeating Division One side Mfalme FC 5-2 at Mbaraki Sports Ground in Mombasa.

Striker Amza Ndayou delivered a sensational performance, netting four goals, while William Wadri added the fifth for the Dockers. Mfalme FC’s goals came courtesy of Arok Payai and Amos Kangote.

Bandari wasted no time asserting themselves, opening the scoring in the 3rd minute through a penalty converted by Amza Ndayou after a handball by Amos Kangote.

Felix Ochieng nearly equalised for the visitors in the 13th minute with a powerful effort that sailed just over the bar. Three minutes later they drew level when Arok Payai collected a precise pass from Joseph Omondi and calmly slotted past goalkeeper Allain Ngeleka.

Bandari responded swiftly. William Wadri restored the lead after linking up with Erisat Orute before curling the ball past Paul Mireri. In the 23rd minute, Ndayou grabbed his second, squeezing through a crowded box to tap home from close range.

Mfalme stayed in the contest, and in the final minute of the first half, Amos Kangote capitalized on a mistake by Ngeleka to make it 3-2 heading into the break.

After halftime, Bandari returned with renewed purpose. Ndayou completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute from the penalty spot after Frank Ouya was fouled in the area.

He sealed a memorable performance in the 90th minute, scoring his fourth of the match after winning the ball just outside the box and sliding it into an empty net to complete a 5-2 victory.

With the win, Bandari FC now advance to the semi-finals, where they will face Police FC, who edged out Shabana FC 1-0 in their quarter-final clash.

Speaking after the match, Bandari FC assistant coach Razak Siwa praised his team’s resilience.

“It was a tough match. Despite Mfalme being a Division One side, we had to use our experience to win the match.”

Mfalme FC head coach Julius Abik acknowledged his team’s effort despite the defeat.

“We dominated the first half but had defensive lapses and conceded easy goals. But I’m happy we have experienced the toughness of a KPL side—it’s a plus for us.”
