All chiefs to undergo paramilitary training: Matiangi

Interior CS Fred Matiangi has directed that all chiefs undergo paramilitary training within the next six months.

According to him, the move will boost service delivery across the country.

“The 440 of the ACCs in the service and the 3,400 chiefs who have not undergone paramilitary training will have to do so in the next six months,” directed CS Matiang’i.

He was speaking during a sensitisation workshop with 93 assistant county commissioners on police reforms.

The CS further explained that the training will ensure that there is harmonisation of duties.

“…The program is now ready, we are working with the Deputy Inspector General in charge of Administration Police…,” he said.

“We have capacity and we are ready to provide it and we realise that it will prepare you even better for the service that we require you to render as we go forward,” said Matiang’i.
