The striker, who has been instrumental in Mathare United Women’s successful campaign in the National Super League (NSL), is set to return to the top-flight league for the second time.
Her previous stint came during her time with Madira Soccer Assassins, where she gained valuable experience competing at a higher level.
Speaking to Citizen Digital after securing promotion, Adhiambo could not hide her joy, describing the achievement as a major milestone both for the team and her personal development.
"It is a great feeling going back to the Premier League with Mathare Women..it has not been an easy journey, but through teamwork and having a motivating coach, we managed to overcome the challenges that existed," she said.
Beyond club football, Adhiambo is also making strides on the international stage. The young forward is part of the Harambee Starlets U-20 setup, and she believes that competing in the top tier will offer her a bigger platform to showcase her abilities.
She noted that playing against stronger opposition will not only sharpen her skills but also increase her chances of breaking into the senior Harambee Starlets squad.
"People will be watching us keenly to see what we have to offer, teams are preparing to play against us, but it is a great opportunity for us to showcase our capabilities. Playing among the best will also increase our national team call-up chances, unlike in the National Super League," she added.
Adhiambo further emphasised her determination to play a key role in Mathare United Women’s campaign next season.
Drawing from her experience at Madira, she has promised to bring leadership and composure to help the team compete effectively against established sides in the league.
With promotion secured and ambitions clearly outlined, all eyes will be on Adhiambo and Mathare United Women as they prepare to test themselves against the best in the country.
