8-month-old baby abandoned along Kisii road

Police in Keumbu, Kisii County, have launched investigations after an eight-month-old baby boy was found abandoned along the Riariga-Nyaguta road in Getetere Village, Nyamware Sub-location.
The infant was discovered at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, with the parents yet to be identified.
A good samaritan rescued the child and took him to Keumbu Level Four Hospital, where he is receiving medical care.
The incident was reported at Keumbu Police Station under OB Number 08/19/08/2026, with the Assistant County Commissioner for Keumbu Division also notified.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that could help identify the child’s parents to come forward.
