Woman injured in an accident in Machakos County

One person is nursing serious injuries following an accident in Machakos County.

Police said this is after the driver of a saloon car lost control and hit a lorry at Kanyonyo trading centre.

"The vehicle was heading towards Matuu general direction with the lorry heading in the opposite direction."

"She sustained multiple injuries following the incident which happened early Thursday morning," police told Citizen Digital.

Police officers added that the injured was rushed to Matuu Level Four Hospital for treatment.

"Fortunately, the driver of both vehicles escaped with no injuries. We have launched a probe into the incident."
