Several mobile phones seized as notorious thief arrested in Kericho

Police in Kericho are holding a middle aged man who is linked to a mobile phone theft syndicate.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the suspect was arrested at Duka Moja estate near Brooke trading centre in the outskirts of Kericho town..
"The suspect was arrested following a tip off from members of the public," detectives told Citizen Digital.
The authorities added that at least 130 mobile phones were recovered during the swoop.
"Other electronic items believed to have been stolen from various parts of the county were also recovered from the suspect," they added.
Police believe that the suspect is part of a gang that has been terrorizing residents in Kericho town.
The phones will be put on display at Kericho police station this week for identification by members of the public.
