Property of unknown value was destroyed in a fire incident in Mombasa.

The fire broke out in one of the houses in Bangladesh in Jomvu Constituency.

Mombasa County Chief Fire Officer Ibrahim Basafar said the fire broke out at around 6 am, Friday.

“The fire spread to adjacent houses, destroying household items,” Basafar noted.

He however noted that they had a hard time accessing the scene due to poor infrastructure.

“Accessing the area was a challenge but we upload locals who joined efforts to put out the fire.”

Police officers have launched investigations into the incident.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
