Probe as Kisumu woman found dead at home in suspected suicide after domestic quarrel

The body of Mary Awuor was found hanging in her house in Kisumu.

Arthur Omondi, a neighbour, told Citizen Digital that the deceased died by hanging at around 2 pm on Sunday.

Omondi said that the couple had a fight the previous day that is presumed to have led to the woman taking her own life.

Awuor took the extreme step while the boyfriend was away.

According to the neighbours, the couple has always had domestic quarrels that had made the deceased mother consider taking her for higher studies before the tragic incident happened.

The incident has been reported at Migosi police station and a search has been launched to find the boyfriend who is still at large.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for autopsy as further investigations on the crime continue.
