Man dies after being struck by a tree in Nambale

A middle-aged man has died after being struck by a tree he was cutting near the water offices in Nambale town, Busia County.

According to Rodah Okuku, who witnessed the incident, the man began cutting the tree at 12 noon before being hit on the head by a part of the tree, resulting in his immediate death.

Police officers from Nambale later retrieved his body.

The body of the deceased was taken to the Busia County Referral Hospital mortuary for further investigation.
