Kenya Power staff dies after falling from electric pole

A Kenya Power employee died on Tuesday afternoon after falling from an electric pole at the Nyabondo centre in Nyakach, Kisumu County.
Upper Nyakach Assistant County Commissioner Dawin Orina confirmed the incident.
“The man who has been identified as Jackson Okoth was carrying out routine maintenance in the company of his colleagues when he accidentally fell on his head,” said Orina.
“He was rushed to Nyabondo Mission hospital, but was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival,” said Orina.
Police are already investigating the incident to ascertain what might have transpired before the fatal fall.
The body of the deceased was taken to Nyabondo Hospital morgue.
