Investigations as grade seven pupil allegedly dies by suicide in Busia County

Confirming the incident, Bunyala OCPD Isaiah Mose stated that the deceased, a grade seven pupil at Nandekere Primary School, had an argument with his father after returning late from the market.

He was reportedly reprimanded which led to threats of being punished before he took his own life.

Mose has expressed his sadness over the increasing incidents of suicides in Budalang'i and urged residents to resolve their differences in better ways rather than resorting to suicide.

The incident is the third such case in Budalang'i since the beginning of the year.

The body has been taken to Port Victoria mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
