Hunt for bodaboda operator as girl dies in Narok accident
Police in Narok County are in hot pursuit of a bodaboda
rider over an incident that claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl.
County police commander Kizito Mutoro said the boda boda
operator was ferrying the girl from Nkineji business centre towards Empompongi
area.
“The rider lost control of the motorbike, leading to an
accident involving the girl, who is a pupil at a local school,” Mutoro told
Citizen Digital.
The pupil succumbed to serious head injuries while on the
way to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi.
“The girl was pronounced dead on arrival at KNH. Her body
has been preserved at the facility awaiting post-mortem,” Mutoro added.
Meanwhile, police have urged locals in Narok West to volunteer
any information that could lead to the arrest of the bodaboda operator.
