Grief as man drowns while bathing in a stream

A 34-year old man has died after he drowned in a stream in Ugenya, Siaya County.

The deceased, identified as Paul Omondi Mbanda, hails from Kisoma village in Simur.

Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the man drowned while taking a bath at Ogege Stream.

“We received a report on the tragic incident from the father of the deceased,” Kimaiyo told Citizen Digital.

According to Omondi’s father Mzee Christopher Mbanda, his son’s body was found floating in the stream.

Police officers from Ukwala added that the deceased might have suffered an epileptic seizure.

The body was taken to Ukwala Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
