Bungoma: Confusion as family takes wrong body from morgue for burial

Drama unfolded in Mt Elgon's Sasur village in Bungoma county after a family mistakenly took the body of another family from the mortuary for burial. 

Area chief James Kabunje said the family which had already started burial preparations had to stop after a call from the morgue informing them they had taken the wrong body as another family found their kin missing. 

According to Kabunje, confusion was brought about due to the two bodies bearing the same names and called upon the bereaved to be keen when identifying bodies.
