AI Kenya is gearing up for its second edition of the AI Kenya Breakfast Summit, set to take place on May 15, 2025, at the Mövenpick Hotel, Nairobi.

Following the success of its inaugural event in January 2025, which attracted over 160 delegates from more than 150 organisations across East Africa, this edition will explore the theme "Conversational Intelligence: Dialogue into Action."

The quarterly summit series aims to accelerate enterprise-level AI adoption across the region, providing a unique space for business leaders, AI innovators, and policymakers to connect and shape Africa's AI future.

The upcoming event will highlight how AI is enabling businesses to analyse, optimise, and automate interactions at scale, transforming sales, hiring, customer experience, and operations.

The inaugural Breakfast Summit in January set a strong foundation for this conversation, featuring Juliana Rotich, who emphasised that "being a smart nation is not about flaunting fancy technology, but applying technology to solve real problems."

This perspective continues to guide AI Kenya's approach to enterprise AI adoption, focusing on practical solutions that address real business challenges rather than technological novelty for its own sake.

Reelanalytics, a leading media intelligence provider in the region, will contribute to the summit by showcasing how they are localising AI in Kenya to enhance media intelligence and reporting.

Their technology helps brands and organisations prove the worth of their media investments through comprehensive monitoring of advertising, PR, and social media activities.

"Conversations power our everyday interactions - whether it's customer support resolving queries, sales teams engaging leads, or hiring managers screening candidates.

"The ability to understand and optimise conversations at scale holds immense power for businesses," said Alfred Ongere, CEO of AI Kenya.

He added: "The customer is king, and they need to feel valued. Imagine a customer sending a request in Swahili, or perhaps Swanglish, and an AI on the other side of the chat is instantly able to respond using the correct language. This is a scenario of what an AI-co-opted customer experience would look like."

Barriers in the agriculture sector include limited access to non-proprietary agricultural data and farmers’ resistance to change. Priscilla Wakarere( Rhea Soil Health) discussed how adopting efficient systems can improve turnaround times and yield.

The upcoming summit will feature practical use cases, live demos, and panel discussions with speakers from businesses and startups leveraging AI in customer service, sales and business processes.
