We have the legs and gas to sustain title race- Kamura

AFC Leopards skipper Robinson Kamura believes that his team mates have the legs and the gas to sustain a marathon race that comes with a league title challenge.

The centre back who recently penned an improved two-year contract to extend his stay at the den till 2022 asserts  that Ingwe will not be flower girls this term but will go for the cherry.

Ingwe have won four out of six  league matches this season but lost to Western Stima and Bidco United. They face the mother of all battles this weekend when they collide with  third placed Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday at Kasarani.

“We are the biggest team in the country only that we have not won the last two matches against Western Stima and Wazito.

Nevertheless, we decided to approach these matches with a positive mentality –  taking game by game for maximum points,” said Kamura.

The towering and experienced defender is also hopeful of his first league title in Ingwe colours something that drives him to motivate his teammates to put in much effort.

“It is painful when we lose and it’s something not expected in our mind whenever we go hunting. To our fans we ask them to be positive and to encourage us since we need their moral support, alot.

After match day six, Leopards sit at position five on 12 points, six behind leaders KCB with a game in hand.
