Wazito left to reflect after shocking start to season
Wazito FC head coach Francis Kimanzi says they have paid the price for their slow start to the season and hopes the international break will give them time to reflect.
Wazito have managed just two points from the opening
six FKF Premier League rounds, a run that has left them languishing at second
from bottom on the standings.
"Yes it’s a slow start but it’s too early to
predict anything, we still have some time to correct our mistakes and get back
into the game.
“We have always had a great game but we are keeping
teams in the game and when we do so, they feel they have an opportunity to get
something,” Kimanzi told Citizen Digital.
A lot of investment has been put into the squad but
the results have been elusive on the pitch, raising serious questions about the
future of the Wazito project under their ambitious ownership.
Kimanzi believes they can turn a page after the
international break.
“We should come back and win games. We want to incorporate the new signings in the team and we are hoping the team is going to turn things around,” the former Harambee Stars coach said.
