Tusker, Homeboyz to Battle for FKF Cup Glory

Tusker FC emerged victorious with a 1-0 scoreline in their semi-final clash against Ulinzi Stars, earning them a coveted spot in the FKF Cup final.

The game played at Nyayo Stadium, kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the very last minute.

It was in the 90th minute that Eric Otieno became the hero for Tusker, scoring a crucial goal that sealed their place in the final.

Otieno’s well-timed header from the near post caught Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper Ricks Omondi off guard, propelling the Brewers to a hard-fought victory.

Meanwhile, in the other thrilling semi-final held at Nyayo Stadium, Kakamega Homeboyz defeated AFC Leopards with a 2-1 scoreline. Moses Shummah broke the deadlock for Kakamega Homeboyz in the 31st minute, followed by Kevin Amwayi’s goal just a minute later.

Despite Cliff Nyakeya’s late consolation goal for AFC Leopards in the 90th minute, the final whistle signaled the end of the match, with the scores closing at 2-1.

With their respective victories, Tusker and Kakamega Homeboyz have earned the opportunity to face off in the highly anticipated final on July 1, 2023.

Football enthusiasts can expect an intense battle between these two talented teams as they vie for the prestigious cup.
