Luanda Villa head coach Tom Tera has warned they will need a ‘miracle’ to achieve their FKF-Premier League promotion dreams as their winless streak continued to three matches after suffering a 3-2 loss against Mombasa Elite last weekend.

The Vihiga based side, who are chasing an instant promotion to the topflight football in their first time of asking, are currently placed eighth on National Super League (NSL) table on 36 points, 20 adrift of the leaders Naivas.

Tera says his charges underrated their opponents Mombasa defeat last weekend and he believes they will need to step up in each of the remaining 12 fixtures.

Villa suffered a away loss in the hands of Mombasa Elites FC a week after holding league leaders Naivas FC to a barren draw at Mumboha.

“Beating Mombasa Elites 5-0 in our inaugural NSL match at Mumboha gave my players a wrong approach to the Sunday game which we lost 3-2 in Mombasa. They simply underrated our opponents especially after scoring first before the hosts came from behind to beat us in the dying moments of the game.

“I believe our fans' sponsors have done their best to motivate the team. The players are yet to click. This hurts the technical bench and the offices for we are missing on some offers we would have gotten if we won the matches lost.”

They travel to Migori this Saturday to face Migori Youth before hosting struggling Gusii.
