Stubborn Bidco hold Bandari in Mombasa, Seal see stars

Bandari FC were this afternoon held to one all draw by Bidco United in a Kenyan Premier League match played at Mombasa Sports Club.

Andrew Juma scored for Bandari while Emmanuel Mogaka equalised for Bidco United from the spot.    

Bidco United dominated the first 10 minutes of the game, strikers Samuel Ndung'u and Kelwish John failing to beat Bandari defence mastered by captain Andrew Juma.

The home side came close in the 12th minute of the match when Hassan Abdallah's header went inches past the side bar after Amai Atariza delivered a strong free kick.

At the half an hour mark, Abdallah's short range shot lost direction after a powerful drive from the center circle of the pitch.

Captain Andrew Juma gave Bandari the lead one minute to top of first half after heading home William Wadri corner Kick 

In the start of second half, Bidco were forced to make three instant changes - introducing Mogaka Emanuel, former Bandari player Daglas Mokaya and Brian Mboya to try and turn tables.

Emmanuel Mogaka equalised for the visitors on top of the hour mark through a penalty kick after defender Dan Guya was fouled in Bandari’s box.

A minute later, Brian Mboya missed a one on one chance with Bandari goalkeeper Bryne Omondi, his shot flying over the top bar.

Bandari failed to get a winner despite getting numerous chances through striker Umar Kasumba, David Sakwa and Mohammed Barisa and settling for a point at their new home Mombasa Sports Club.

Daniel Simiyu gave Nzoia early lead after converting from the spot then Kogalo fought back through Sharrif Musa, Wangai Bryson and Benson Omala.

In the other league match played today, City Stars hammered Murang’a Seal 3-0.
