KPL: Sofapaka, Mathare share spoils as KCB breeze past Posta

Sofapaka FC grabbed a point after playing to a 1-1 draw against Mathare United in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at Police Sacco grounds.

In second half, Sofapaka started on a high as they pushed for an equaliser and on the 70th minute, Mosha Benjamin made matters level after Edward Omondi provided a neat assist.

Clear chances would follow later as Sofapaka players forced Mathare United goalkeeper to make countless saves to keep his side in the game.

Speaking after the match, coach Matano said: “This is a new team we are building. We don't look back despite losing two games. We continue to focus on winning on the remaining games.”

Mathare United coach John on his side noted that that: “In first half, we were dominance but again in the second half,  the opponent were so much direct with the long balls and our key players were marked out.”

Meanwhile, KCB breeze past Posta Rangers with a 3-0 win at Thika Stadium.

Francis Kahiro netted a brace as Etyang added another one to help the Bankers secure maximum points against the Mail men.
