Shujaa to face USA, Australia in second round at Dubai Sevens

Kenya will battle it out in Pool B with Dubai’s runners up USA, Australia and Canada in the second round of the World Sevens Series of Dubai Sevens scheduled for next weekend.

Innocent ‘Namcos’ Simiyu's charges finished the first round of Dubai Sevens in eighth place, going down 07-29 to Ireland in the seventh place final at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai, UAE on Saturday.

They gained 10 points from the outing in which South Africa won the tournament with a 42-7 win over the USA gaining 22 points.

South Africa tops pool A and will face off with Great Britain, Ireland, and Japan.

Argentina will top pool C after finishing third and will face off Fiji, France, and Spain.

On their way to the seventh place final Kenya lost 19-5 against Fiji in the main Cup quarter finals at The Sevens in Dubai, UAE on Saturday 27 November 2021.

Pool results Kenya only won one match against Spain 26-12 and lost 14-7 and 22-17 against USA and Argentina respectively.
