‘Satisfied’ Bandari not keen to bolster squad – Muhiddin

With barely three weeks left to the closure of the transfer window, Bandari FC are unlikely to make any additions to the squad.

According to team technical director Twahir Muhiddin, head coach Ken Odhiambo is satisfied with the current squad as it has the capacity to meet the team’s target when the season begins.

“Bandari is rearing to go with the in-depth squad that we have and the coach is sure they will deliver,” explained Muhiddin.

Opponents in the top division have been busy tightening their squads ahead of the new campaign and it remains to be seen how the Dockers will measure up to the competition once the season gets underway.

Bandari have long salivated at the prospects of winning a maiden league title but have fallen short in recent times, letting Gor Mahia cart the gong and failure to beef up could possibly complicate the league quest matrix.

At the same time the club have reportedly renewed the contracts of four players while recalling Swaleh Chacha, Hassan Iddi and Dennis Magige from loan spells.

Chacha was loaned out to Mathare United while Iddi and Magige were at Coast Stima.

“We have renewed four players contracts and brought back our young players who were out, those are our only signings,” explained the former Harambee Stars coach.

Muhiddin who was the interim coach after Bernard Mwalala’s exit earlier this year added that they will consider signing during the mid-season window if the need arises.

“For now we are ready to go maybe if something happens then we will sign in the next transfer window.”

Earlier this month Bandari head coach Ken Odhiambo said that they will only consider signing once he all has all his players in camp and after  monitoring them.
