New Kakamega Homeboyz centre back Potipher Odhiambo says he is patiently waiting for his debut for the club and league after watching the opening rounds from the sidelines.

Homeboyz acquired the highly rated defender from Vihiga Bullets but he is yet to feature for the team thanks to the competition from Brian Eshihanda and George Odiwour who have formed a rock solid partnership at the heart of the defence.

Odhiambo, who was crowned last season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the National Super League, said he is working hard in training and cannot wait to take his opportunity when it falls for him.

“I am not under pressure to play at all as much as I want to make my debut for the club. I am just waiting for the coach to consider me for playing time. I feel have adapted to his philosophy and believe it’s only a matter of time before I play,” he said.

Homeboyz, who have a perfect winning start to the season, will be hoping to extend that streak when they host Bandari this Sunday at the Bukhungu Stadium.
