National Super League side 3K FC are aiming to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Naivas.
The 3K fell 2-1
to Fortune Sacco in the Mt. Kenya derby at the weekend, and they are aiming to
atone for this defeat in the quickest way possible.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, club assistant coach
Moses Munene, said the objective is clear: win the remaining two games and
secure a total of 50 points—a mark the team set as its season’s target.
“Despite the setback against Fortune Sacco, we are focused on bouncing back. Our aim now is to win against Naivas and carry that momentum into the final match,” Munene observed.
Considering it
is their first year in the second tier of Kenyan football, 3K FC have shown
promise throughout the season. The club currently sit ninth on the NSL table
with 44 points.
Munene at the same time acknowledged the steep learning curve, noting that the experiences gathered
will shape their strategy moving forward.
“This season has
taught us a lot. It’s been a valuable learning experience for both the players
and the technical bench. We’ve identified areas we need to improve, and we are
already thinking about how to strengthen the team for next season,” Munene
added.
The 3K FC and
Naivas will lock horns in the second last outing of the 2024/2025 National
Super League season at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos county next weekend.
