Tusker forward Ian Simiyu says he is enjoying his time at former Kenyan Premier League champions Tusker FC, steadily adapting to their system since joining the Brewers midway through last season from National Super League side Nzoia Sugar FC.
Simiyu, who made a name for himself as the NSL’s top scorer
before his move, says he has gained valuable experience at the Ruaraka-based
outfit and is learning every day while building strong chemistry with his
teammates.
“I joined Tusker midway through last season, but that hasn’t
stopped me from embracing the club’s culture and style of play. I’m currently
playing a different role from the one I had at Nzoia, but I’m adjusting quickly
and enjoying the process,” Simiyu told Citizen
Digital.
Despite not opening his goal account in the Premier League,
Simiyu remains optimistic. He’s using the off-season to refine his game and is
confident that he’ll start scoring in the upcoming campaign.
“It’s been a bit challenging getting my first goal in the
top tier, but I’m working on it. I believe that come.
