National Super League side 3K FC are aiming for a win in their next fixture against MCF after losing their previous weekend’s match to Premier League bound Nairobi United.
The 3K fell 2-1 to Nairobi United in their recent outing,
handing the latter side an automatic promotion to next season's FKF Premier
League after cementing their top spot in the NSL standings.
Speaking to Citizen
Digital, 3K's assistant coach, Moses Munene, said that although the
upcoming match won’t be of great significance to them, they will play with
determination to boost their points tally and reach their target of 50 points.
"We lost to NSL leaders Nairobi United, a very strong
and technical team. However, that doesn't mean that we're not chasing our
goals. Our next match is against MCF, a team that has nothing to lose,"
Munene said.
The tactician reckons the aims of 3K FC is to finish the season on strong foot as the
team is not under any sort of pressure after securing their place in the NSL
next season.
"Now that we're not chasing promotion nor avoiding
relegation, our goal is to increase our point tally and reach the target of 50
points this season. We have nine points up for grabs and we will give it our
best to attain the target," Munene added.
With only four matches remaining before the league
concludes, Nairobi United have already secured promotion to the Premier League.
Meanwhile 3Ksit in ninth place with 43 points, just 7 points shy of their 50
points ambition.
